Anyone know what power and response I can expect?I still need a wastegate for my manifold but this puts my custom T2 powered first gen a little closer to completion. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Heres the specs on it...

I wouldn't buy one off EBay. You never know what you're getting.

Pick one out based on what you learn off the forums. The evil forum has a pretty deep database of single turbo specs, and a lot of people here get give you specs they've used.

Once you pick a set of specs you want, call ADP. 1-800-811-1188 or 1-800-663-6308. Both numbers are in Surrey. You'd be very surprised the prices you can get going straight to the Garrett master distributor.

Racer X 10-17-2003 01:52 AM

This one had the right price tag tho.Thats why I got it.

TYSON 10-17-2003 02:00 AM

Did you sell the one you asked about before?

Not yet but plan to very soon.I already know some people that want it.This one at least is nice judging by the spec tho it seems laggy. What do you think? This will be on a S4 T2 motor with a stock port.

RotaryRocket219 10-17-2003 04:34 AM

Isn't that a pretty big hotside a/r? Maybe go smaller to help spool up..

hah, yes it will. With the .7 and the 1.32 lag will be on your side https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I know you wont complain with the top end power you can make with that turbo, Some guy i knew had one on a turbo 2 pushing 395rwhp at 15 Psi, I think thats pretty good.

I want around that too.Thats the power level I think I will be happy with for awhile.

1Revvin7 10-18-2003 12:30 PM

That turbo needs a b/p..

Does it have a vband on it or do you have to put one on?

I think a huge street port should be enough.maybe if it was a 1.50 then a bridge would be needed.Lag is good. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

I guess you'll at least have low exhaust manifold pressure with that sucker.

Maybe even suck up a squirrel or two. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

setzep 10-19-2003 12:22 AM

With housings that big you could probably pass a squirrel or two also!

You better get ready for extreme top end and a lazy bottom end.

Racer X 10-19-2003 01:01 AM

I'm ready. All I can say is hondas are in the back.Along with rustangs. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Yeah, once you hit 5.5k hang on! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png I hope you are getting some sticky tires for the FB cause you're going to need them! If you do plan to port it I bet you'll have no problems spinning the tires at the top of 3rd gear. The first time you do I promise you'll have a hard time sleeping that night! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png I know I did.

Yeah, spring will be interesting.Porting it next winter with funding providing.I'm buying a house in spring tho.

setzep 10-19-2003 08:52 PM

I woulden't port it untill something goes wrong with it, assuming it's a good engine now. The power it will put out stockport will make you grin for a long time.

Buying a house is pretty damn cool. It's nice to know that you own something that actually appreciates. I bought my home almost a year and a half ago and woulden't go back to renting. In the meantime I'd save up as much ching you can for a big fatty down payment. You'll thank yourself once you see how much even a extra grand at closing will save you in the long run!
