hi all,

busy with the full non-seq setup and wondering if the circeled items in the pic that i attached should go out?

Andreas 07-12-2005 04:44 PM

furthermore, should the lower intake be removed or can it stay during the conversion?

There is no need to remove the LIM.

What you remove when going non-seq depends if your car still has to pass emmissions testing.

If it has to pass, then you need to keep the air pump, ACV and it's solenoids.

If not, then remove them. You can remove the purge solenoid too.

Remove anything not required.

tnx Ruthenian for replying, i'll keep the airpump but will make a pipe from the airpump that connects to the pipe that runs from the engineblock to the cat. in that case i can put fresh air in the cat till 2800 rpm and pass emissions.

will take pix when the whole stuff is out, just weird "feeling" to take it out because there are soooo many solenoids that are under the uim. bit difficult to remove the frame with the solenoids because some screws are rotten (don't know how to describe it in English, i cant turn the screw anymore because i cant get any grip on them to turn them loose (thread for the screwdriver is gone)) :( oh well, i'll get it out soon ...

one more question: at the underside and in the middle of the uim is a connector in the uim itself (blue). connect that one or use a resistor for that one?

Hee andreas,

Het is geen probleem door de emissie tests heen te komen. Ik heb geen cat whatsoever. En ik kom er doorheen.

De schroeven kunnen er makkelijk uit, eerst even wat WD40 overheen spuiten en een nachtje laten staan.

Groet

Rogier
