lmfao. That's dual BOV(blow off Valves) Wastegates connect to the exhaust manifold between the engine and the turbo.
|
or are those blow of valves.... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif *feels like an idiot*

damn you jspecracer7 ^^ you posted a second before I did..... I though they were blow off valves but... yeah I need to shut up.
is there any point in having dual bov's? |
Dun think so. Seems pretty pointless to me.
|
Depends on the CFM of the turbo, I have seen the makings of twin Greddy Type R BOV's on someone CYM FD 20b project with a T-76 on it, but I can't say who it is yet :P

is there any point to 2 wastegates? why not just get 1 good one, will certainly be cheaper.
|
Reasons for dual wastegates are :
1 For me both valves were cheaper than one large one. 2 Because of the size of my turbo I "designed" my set up for the quickest spool , so I did a custom tubular header with 2" id runners, and a wastegate for each runner , so as to avoid exhaust pulses interacting and WEAKENING each other. 3 They will out flow one large one , so I should be able to use them for any turbo in the future. 4 they just look F@##kin BAD ASS !!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png |
