Choking Up Top?
#1
Hi Guys,
Ok I have this turbo installed now.. I know its not very big but it feels like choking at 8 psi?? How can that be??
On the commander the Injector duty hit a max of 86%
I am soo confused... oh almost forgot to mention i have the wastegate set at 7.5 psi and am not using a boost controller right now still it goes upto 11 psi??
Just got home.. had already ordered 1600cc secondary injectors + fuel rail + Fuel pump but now that i have noticed i already have a 14% injector cushion but the car starts hesitating.. can it be that the wastegate is malfunctioning??
I will put the boost controller in the car tomorrow and set the boost at 11 psi to see if it works... does that seem like a solution??

It sounds like your waste gate is sticking shut or you potentially have a hole in your diaphram. If you have in a 7.5 spring you should see it open at 7.5 or possible 8 at the most. A boost controller will not fix that. I would remove the waste gate and inspect.
Ideal injector duty cycles are 80 to 85%
Your stumbling is probably one of two things. You are spiking up higher than your tune. Up that high you have to much gas being injected or two low AFR. The second possibility is your spark plugs are acting like glow plugs. Upgrade to NGK b10egv or egi - at any Jap bike shop.
