which one do u guys reccommend they are virtually the same price, and since im going with a fmic should i get the "kit" one or the universal?

vosko 08-04-2002 05:50 PM

both are good. hks can handle less boost i think

ILUVMY88CABRIO 08-04-2002 06:51 PM

If you're going with a FMIC just get the universal BOV and the flange.

I've got the Blitz BOV, I love it. It sounds great, and if you want to run over 18 psi, you can just buy a harder spring for it.

1Revvin7 08-04-2002 06:55 PM

nice! thxs

ILUVMY88CABRIO 08-04-2002 06:56 PM

Yep. I got my Blitz for $189. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

GREDDY Type R BOV. Not the best sounding, but can handle ANY psi that you put to it. Plus you can raise or lower the setting hard to soft :bigok:

It's NOT flashy https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/moon.gif ...but it does the job well.... :P besides, they can't hear your BOV when you're 7 car lengths ahead of them https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

The Blitz is adjustable too.

I bought my blitz from More Power Racing, a rice shop less than a block away from my home. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

i had a blitz in my 93 mr2 and it was cool, but i have the hks in my fd and i think it's better, it feels as if it responses better and it just sounds cleaner...

so anyone beside this man, btw thxs, have experiences with both? and is the hks one adjustable?

jspecracer7 08-06-2002 08:31 AM

I have the old style HKS on our PP Racing project car...I don't think it's adjustable https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png

grngtcfd3s 08-06-2002 11:56 AM

yeah it's adjustable, they're both adjustable.

SPOautos 08-07-2002 01:12 PM

What about Tial??? How come you guys dont go for Tial bov's?????

turbovr6 08-07-2002 02:00 PM

I have the HKS I love it. I had the greddy typr r and the apex'i ones in the past. They all perform well, but I think the HKS is a bit more reponsive. Yes it it adjustable. The best part is the sound though. Honestly if you are going for both performance and a loud cool sound the HKS is the only way to go

grngtcfd3s 08-07-2002 09:47 PM

i'm with you turbovr6, the sound is just sweeeeeet.

vosko 08-07-2002 11:41 PM

i went greddy type r since i'm using a greddy t78, greddy 3row etc https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
