Aspec and his crew came up with a new manifold for their GT35/40. Sean posted on evil.

I wanted to see it here.

Nice setup. Where is this being done. Is it tig or mig welding, and how much does a setup like that cost?

jspecracer7 09-14-2003 02:38 AM

Looks like you can fit the air pump on the engine now.

pengaru 09-14-2003 03:03 AM

those look like mig welds to me.

Silver Ninety Three 09-14-2003 06:42 PM

wonder if its any better than the original design

JimmyJimboJet 09-14-2003 06:49 PM

Silver Ninety Three 09-16-2003 10:39 PM

They are all tig welded by hand and done in shop.

I don't think that you can fit the airpump, I haven't tried yet though they are equal length and come in either stainless or mild/coated. There weren't any fitment issues with the old kit this one will just flow better, and if all goes well should fit the newGT40R's as well.

Without the air pump can you still pass emissions?

i am new to turbos, so here is the million dollar question of stupidity....... *drums* ........ the exast goes through the turboa nd spools it then exits though the back of it. What is that pipe ont he bottom for? letting off extra exast pressure??

Actually yes. It all depends on tuning. Seen a bridgeport motor pass emission with a Cat https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

Very nice!

Hey Sean, why do you not have the GT35/40 listed on your web site or am I just blind???

Because my website sucks, and I'm getting really behind on updating it.
