Well we traced down an oil leak today thinking it was the front e-shaft seal...turns out it was my oil metering line (only one). The covering around the line was intact but the actual metering line was burnt to a crisp. I had plumes of smoke coming out of the top of my vented hood and naturally out the back as oil would splash on my turbo/manifold. Fun, fun. I'm not sure if the lines weren't secured properly or what. I'm going to have some teflon-lined braided lines made and then sheath them with firejacket. ive seen it, but it was improper instalation of something (it was a gsl-se so no turbo)

This happened to my engine 2 engine's ago...This is the reason I went premix.

Ummmm. Premix, is there something I need to know...

basically your adding oil to your gas for one reason or another, some people do it on s5's with haltechs because the haltech doesnt control eletric OMP...

almost all the old OMP lines i have seen were broken or about to break. my motor i spent the money and got brand new ones from mazda....

What happens to the motor if I don't premix it.

apex seals are not lubricated and fail really fast

BUT,



you most likley have the OMP still enabled (which lubracates the seals for you)



So no worries there. Premix is for people without the OMP.
