Why aren't people trying this setup? Is it because of spool up time, more heat, more money, more **** to break, or more back pressure?

I realize that's it's probably all of those and that 13B's would have a hard time spooling two GT30/37's without some huge exhaust ports but wouldn't it still be possible?

Unless you come up with some crazy, vacuum and solenoid driven, exhaust gas flow directing mechanism, you spend too much time to left of the surge line.

Howard tried an interesting experiment with some decent sized singles but they were below (left) of the "line." Never spooled them up.

So, you would have to flow some HUGE numbers, or at an insane VE, to get them to come on at a decent RPM.

I dunno.

I thought so, would it be safe to assume that a 20B could spool those turbo's at decent RPM's?

Anyone have any flow numbers for a 20B? I assume it's 50% greater than a 13B. Hmm. I'll chew through the math and post some numbers on some well know compressor maps.

Hmm. The more I think about it, the more I think that a GT42R on a 20B would KICK SOME ****! Gut instinct from running a GT40R on a 13-Brew.

All of the above. I have a 1/2 bridge motor that says they will spool quick enough. I tell you what, you buy and I'll try. I'll even put it on the dyno, so you can see full boost at 6,000rpm's and shift at 11,500.

LOL, I was pretty sure they'd boost nicely by 6K, but how long would that motor last? And IGY please remember, I'm in the states, and can't afford a rebuild every week.

Thanks man, I'd really appreciate some concrete numbers.
