Your paint looks sweet. Haven't seen a silver shine like that before. What rear diffuser is that?

thanks guys! I was impressed with the 10 year old paint myself.



I waxed her down with ZYMOL...baby blue bottle [bb wax too] costs double what any other wax costed, figured I'd try it.



1-2'x2' sections; wax on (back and forth at 45 degrees) wax off (circular).

2-spray light mist of water, and buff.

3-once in the sun and body gets over 75F, I was told the wax hardens; repeat 2



The diffuser is RE f/g street diffuser. I coated it [twice] with 3M underseal. Gives it the texture of a truck bed, and I put door trim around the edge. Don't ask about the install, I now hate body mods and will never do it again. On a lighter note, it does make the rear end aggressive! I have edited that pic so you can actually see the lines, I'll post it tomorrow.

 

How do you like that wax? Your paint does look amazing.



I usually use the McQuires 3 step wax stuff.

Step 1: Paint cleaner wax

Step 2: Paint polisher wax

Step 3: I opted for the McQuires Gold standard wax



It does a good job but I did look at the Zymol wax and thought about giving it a try myself. I've just never talked to anybody that used it before. I didn't want to be the test dummy...lol



The diffuser looks good too. I'd like to see it in person. Most look too big for my taste but yours doesn't look like most of the others I've seen.

 

I'd recommend the wax, they say apply 3-4 times a year. I put one coat on, and cotton rag test was successful...you know, when you toss a rag on the hood and the damn thing slides off. In the 3 years I've owned the car the paint never looked this good! The wax fills in swirl marks and minor scratches in the clear coat also.

it is a very big piece. It cover the entire gas tank...you look under my car and it's nothing but flat surfaces and an exhaust pipe. You should have seen the mess that fell out when I dropped the parachute that used to be on the rear bumper.

 

Likewise. I'm getting the fuel fittings today and plan to have my new secondary rail in this weekend with the FPR hooked up. Hopefully the car will then idle for more than 15 seconds.



I didn't realize you were local until I saw your tag! I meet up with Import Lounge every Thursday night up at the Gwinnett Place Fuddruckers. Mostly Honda/Nissan guys but most of them are really passionate about what they do so it's cool to hang out with them.

 

Very nice buildup man. I'm pretty much doing the exact same thing, except I'm doing my own SMIC setup, using a S5 (internal wastegate) 60-1 HiFi turbo, and I'm not doing a rebuild..



HALTECH wiring, piping, and brackets sure are fun, aren't they!!! hehe

shuriken - sounds like a good project! all the little **** is always the funniest



KingFD - that's the one. I lined it with 3M undercoating, looks like truck bed lining.
