air pump removed bad idea

i have an 87 fc and i removed the air pump and it boggde like crazy above 4 grand so i put the air pump back on and it runs fine whats the prob dudes

Next time try asking the question, in normal form...



The air pump actuates the 5th & 6th ports on a S5 Engine (N/A)...

what was the reason for removing it in the first place? Did you remove the cats also?

An 87 is an S4, the aux ports are actuated by back pressure from the exhaust not the air pump. Unless someone has converted yours.
