Never really done any road-racing, but I plan to with this FD. Just curious, would something along the lines of Hawk HP+ pads be enough, or are they gonna over-head and fade? Would I be better off just going with a big-brake kit?

Those pads will work nicely, but make sure to upgrade to stainless steel lines and put in some high performance fluid such as motul. That route is fairly inexpensive and the best way to get around the track until you need the big brakes.

I have used HT10 on front & HP Plus on rears, very happy, very dusty, depending on how many track days you do you could try blues on front and save a little dust.

Porterfield R4-S brake pads AP331 front $ 79.95 AP332 rears $ 69.95

G-stop brake line kit.

ATE super blue fluid.

worked great on pocono all weekend. anything similar will be fine especially for novices.
