I like the sleepy lights cuz in my opinion they make my car look lower..



but mainly because i hate seeing the damn big *** light covers in the way while i drive..

only do it if you're gunna do it the right way and you're not gunna get into an accident when you are driving at night. also dont have it looking sleepy during the daytime, then your car just looks like its broken

uhhh...i got H4 HIDs...thank you! not some measly bulb kit. i took the bulbs that came with the kit out and put in some HIDs from an escalade.

I think they look good on some cars, and only with other exterior modifications. They look stupid on any car that has a stock exterior. If the car has drift body work, or cool paint, or at least some sweet wheels, I think it can be pulled off. I don't really think they look good winking on any 2nd gen RX7s, myself.

If you wanna do it, do it.

Just don't do that mod where you press a switch, and the lights randomly flip around. (I looked over at this guys AE86 corolla and he tried to impress me with it, when I was in a jeep with the windshield down)

I suppose if you still want to do it, there is a way that doesn't screw up the useability. I had my FD set-up for a while where I could stop the lights whereever I wanted, yet still have full function when I needed it.



All I did was pull the dash and get the switch that let you put the lights up without them being on. I tested each wire until I found out which one powered the motor's up signal. Cut it, wired in a momentary switch that I mounted down on the hood release cover (just so it would be out of the way). So the lights would work normally when I turned them on, but when I pushed the switch that put them up when off, I could just tap the added momentary switch until they were as high as I wanted. Much better than just pulling the fuse or whatever, and trying to drive with crappy lighting at night.

WOW, Holy wrong way to get HID's, batman!



The only way to properly install HID's into a sealed beam is to somehow integrate a HID projector into the housing.

I think he means he bought the plastic h6054 housing that takes an H4 Bulb, and got an H4 HID kit..



and Yes, if he did not buy a projector housing for HIDs or a Sealed beam conversion specifically made for HID lighting he is just shooting some bright *** light all over the place.. its not truly an HID conversion because the light is not being directed properly, even though it seems brighter..
