Unplugging the fuel pump fuse, starting it, and plugging the fuse back in yields the same results. This is with the injectos off.



If I do the same thing but turn the injectors on when I plug the fuse back in, I get the same thing.



In summary:



1) Injectors enabled = no start

2) Injectors disabled (after turning the engine over while they are enabled) = start for 15 seconds.

what happens if during the 15 seconds you plug the fuse back in?

Nothing, the car still dies.

 

It would be great if I could hear the fuel pump while the car was running, but it's about impossible.



Is there any other way tell if the circuit is "on" for the pump? That would explain the car dying with the injectors "off" but still doesn't explain why the car won't idle at all with them "on."

maybe you could put a light blub in the circuit?

 

Did the datalogs look funny at all?

 

Alrighty beyond checking to make sure the fuel pump is *on* while the car is running, what else could I possibly check? Is there any explanation for the car not running with the injectors on in Halwin?



I won't be able to do any of this until Saturday .

 

ok pop your fuel lines off, and put them into a bucket. turn car to on. The fuel pump should run. Verify that fuel does in fact come out of the rail.



Next idea. Perhaps when you switch the car on, the fuel pump primes. Then, when you crank the car, it kills the pump.



Putting a light in the circut would help.



How do you have your fuel pump wired? I'd make sure that is in order...

Okay tomorrow I'll first check for power to the fuel pump. Hopefully this will verify what exactly "enable injectors" means in the Haltech.



I'm also going to get a FP gauge, because I have a feeling it has something to with fuel pressure if the pump is wired/running correctly.



Fuel HAS to come out of the rails because the car runs, but I'll test that anyway.
