This qustion is for the guys that have or had SS exhaust manifolds.

I recently went single and the kit has SS exhaust manifold. For the rest of the exhaust system I have a resonated midpipe and the Greddy PE. It was just the last couple of days that I noticed the exhuast glowing after moderate driving.

If it is a problem, how does one diagnose it? The boost is fine, the idle vacuum is normal. The only thing that seems to be out of the ordinary is a sound that vaguely resembles a siren that appeared recently. If it makes any difference the turbo exhaust housing is not glowing. The tuning is normal with 11.2-11.4 afr at full boost. I did tune the idle a bit on the lean side (14s), but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Any help and suggestion is greatly appreciated.

timing or too much fuel could cause it

Like Justin says, if the timing is too retarded it could do that. The will glow but should only be that hot when you push them hard. I would not expect to see that from moderate driving though.

What about the siren like sound.

Somthing else that is strange is the siren sound doesn't seem to be there when idleing (even when I rev, it's not there), it's only when the car is moving.

check your brakes, drive shaft, and wheels then.
