What does the pre-heater hose do? ( one that runs from Headers to Carb) and do i need it all that much??

 

The pre-heater hose helps the car warm up by venting air off the exhaust manafold into the engine through the air cleaner. If you do not have one your car will take longer to warm up when cold, but I don't think it will have any other effect.

im not worried about the cold, i do live in minnesota but i have a heated garage
