Just got another 240sx...had a 1993 Fastback, but that one had a bad tranny, fuel pump, and a huge hole in the exhaust. So I got the guy who sold me the first one to trade it for a 1992 SE coupe he had on his lot. This one's got a lot more miles (156000, the 1993 only had 94000) but it's a lot more stable. I think the fact that I bought the 1993 just a month ago made him nervous, wondering why I brought it back. I kinda forgot to tell him that the tranny was bad though..... but it was his fault for not asking, right?

If he didn't know it's his problem. It was a bad deal to begin with.

How much do you know about 240sx cars? Because a guy i know was giving me a ride in his 240sx and we stopped to get gas and a guy offered him 10k in cash right there saying "i've been looking for one of those for years." Any idea what he might mean? Are there some rare models i've never heard of? Anyways, you don't have to answer, i just need to do more research.

Good like with the car!

I personally am still learning about my car, but I have found that people flock to it. Now where near as much as they do a 7. Still surprising though. Anways, what I have found seems to be the popular thing to do is pretty much turn the 240 in to a Silvia...sr20 engine swap and the silvia front end...but like I said, I am still learning myself, so I'm sure there are people on this forum who would know much more than me.

I am just a girl.

But they are fun for those of us who need backseats...God that sounded dirty didn't it?

man I was watching this episode of best motoring and they where showing this skyline owned by this chick that had custom fabricated this BEAutiful 6 throttle intake manifold my gosh that thing was sexy. An absolute masterpeice and the fact that this 90 pound japanesse chick made it by hand was all the more mind boggling.

Oh yea, I don't know what it's like over in oaklahoma but here in california it's illegal to do a motor swap with motor that was either A) from a car older than the car the motor is going into or B) from a car that was never released in the USA.

Personally I hate this forgien engine policy because it keeps me from putting my dream engine the RB26DETT in my 280ZX becuase the skyline was never released in the usa. So look into your state laws on the matter. I hope all goes well with all that. (you could just do what people around here dp and change your engine out every time it comes to smog it.
