Need Information
OK Doing a swap TII Swap Into an 86 sport.
What im installing from day one:
Microtech LT8 (Wating on Shipping)
Greddy FMIC (Already Purchased)
Greddy BOV (Already Purchased)
Racing Beat Turbo back exhaust (Already Purchased)
Aluminum TID (Already Purchased)
Now the motor is going to be using the stock turbo for now, what I want to know is what is the limitations of this set up as far as the stock turbo goes. How many psi can i run on the stock turbo and not destroy it? What can I do to prevent boost creep?
What ive been told that even with a ported S4 Wastegate with a 3 inch exhaust and a FMIC that i will still get alot of boost creep and that i should install a popoff valve to prevent over boosting. Does this make sence to any one?
I would appreciate any help any one can offer
Thanks in advance

i have nothing to add to the FC related stuff here
BUT,
the pop off valve is a good idea.... but just as a fail safe. DO NOT USE IT to try to control boost. It's only there as insurance due to spikes and wastegate failure. You run the risk of over boosting the turbo and shitcanning it... but saves the engine.
A boost activated warning light is also a good idea if you plan on running a POV. It'll keep you from running around with a stuck WG while the POV is doing all the work while not realizing it.

what about fuel should i stick with the 550's ar get something bigger and tune it down with the ECU? and how about a fuel pump?
definately get a fuel pump. injectors are up to you, its probably a better idea to get some bigger secondaries (720's), but you dont have to do it right away.
ok here is another question what fuel pump should I use? should I install a FPR or leave the stock system in. i like the idea of a rising rate fpr but wont that make tunning harder?
Should I port the waste gate in the stock manifold before I put the engine in the car? what kinda preparations would you guys reccomend before putting the motor in the car? like new gaskets ect.......
