im looking at new cars and contemplating the 8 what are your fav things about it?

How easy it is to drive, handling, and brakes.

im supposed to go test one on thursday, thats my next day off i might be coming home with a new car...

yah i'll second that, they are easy to drive, the extra doors and seats are actually useful, its quiet but sounds good, good stereo (non bose, bose is too bassy/muddy imo), and i find myself going over 100regularly

It's almost as much fun to drive as the FD, but without the constant paranoia about what's going to break next. Add in the fact that I can take 3 other adults with me somewhere, and that it's extremely comfortable, and I really don't have any complaints.

i own one... they are great.. lack of power is kinda a downer.. but man its comfy, im ALWAYS getting complimants, theres a lot of stuff coming out this year too that will make the rx VERY quick....a good tune, some sticker tires and lightweight flywheel, and you'll be keeping up/taking the new 05+ Gt mustangs.... so i hear..

so i drove one and was surprised they arent as quick as what i was expecting, then again ive only ever been in a base model fc and a 500rwhp fd... but it was a nice ride handled well and was infact very comfy. still thinking about it, gotta test out the evo and sti as well as a new s4

the Sti and Evo are very different cars, and IMO can't really be compared to the 8. It just depends on what you want out of the car. I don't worry about what is going to break next, I have not had a lot of trouble with things breaking, just a couple weird little things, that are not the norm for other owners. I have had mine for almost 3 years now, have almost 60K miles on it, and would buy another one tomorrow. I still enjoy driving the daylights out of it on a daily basis, and still feel as good about it as the day I got it.

^^^ I agree, I've only had mine for a little bit over 2 months now but I've been driving it daily with some spirited runs on the weekends and I enjoy every second that I'm in the car. Even when I'm not driving it and just tinkering with it. The only thing that I wish Mazda could've done better is installing aluminum calipers instead of the one that currently comes stock. Most people complain about the lack of power but I'm completely satisfied with it. But then again I'm used to drifting an underpowered AE86.

I can't really compare the RX8 to any other cars that I've driven (except to my old FC) 'cause thay are on a class of their own.

Can a automatic 8 take a 350Z??
