A little while ago I posted a topic of why Rx-8 is not going to have a turbo. Sure enough I was proven wrong. I further said that a supercharger version of the renisis is more likely, and I'm sure to see the kit from some one soon. My question is which do you feel would better serve the Rx-8 supercharger or turbo?



.. the rx-7 has a rich histroy of turbo so try to be open minded with your responce.

SC, it would fit nicely in the engine bay and it would be easy to install.

turbo, no need to waste the large amount of exhaust energy.. Thats why rx7s have always been turbo...

I was gonna say the RE's massive exhaust gas velocity makes perfect sense for a turbo, but the renesis will be slower in that dept. I have driven a SC 13B.

the rx8 engine bay doesn't have enough room to do a supercharger, i'd much rather see a turbo anyway

The did a comparison on the RX8 turboed, and the RX8 supercharged/compressor and the Turboed won all around. Granted the Blitz compressor was just installed, but they took the pepsi challenge.

ok, so who's making a kit so I can drop it in my 7 and be street legal?

Trust makes a TD-06 kit for the Renesis engine. boosting .5kilo it make about 250hp. Tourque was also elevated substantially throughout the range.
