They've said anywhere from Fall 2002 to Fall 2003. They keep changing their minds on it, so who really knows?
|

Spring works for me, that means around Fall, the first time it rains after summer, the scrap yards will fill up with wrecked ones for the vultures to pick @

Well the reason y is because mazda think that the Rx8 might not sell as they predicted? Anyway according to a mazda rep form Japan he said that mazda is planning to bring back the 2nd gen engine as a turbo into the new {whcih platform goona take the rotary engine} Also they blaming that the car is not making enough power to keep with today car's. I have no idea what car they trying to line it up against which? BTW if everyone think this story is bull call the reputable mazda dealer that deal with mazda technician from Japan they should know something.

New V-6 Accord makes 240 hp and more torque, can get it with a 6 speed. 300ZX/Infiniti coupe about 280HP, more torque Damm Altima is about 240Hp now isnt it? Even the Mazda 6s is going to be 215hp. For someone who doesnt know the rotory they will be scared in a way to buy the RX-8, especially for only 250hp, Mazda needs at least 300hp and to keep it well under $35,000 to sell the RX-8, otherwise its going to go bye-bye. |
sup don't forget the new 2003 Dodge SRT-4 neon .
quick specs: 215 HP 245 lb-ft torque 0-60 in 5.6 sec 14.2 @102 for the 1/4 mile weighing 2880lbs and costing in the $20,000 range. from http://www.allpar.com/neon/neon-srt-4.html more sources elsewhere. laters! Edgardo |
