basically says if you bought an rx8 already they are giving the same package as 2001 miatas. free maintenance and $500 debit card or they buy your car back

rotarychainsaw 08-22-2003 06:15 PM

Wow! :-(

vosko 08-22-2003 06:17 PM

they said it has 5% variance which is acceptable but its an act of good faith. the car will still do 5.9 sec 0-60 it just won't dyno 200rwhp

rbrtech 08-22-2003 06:18 PM

yes there will. the rx8 is the new miata and so is the next rx7, so all they have to do is make a good looking coupe, they already have the motor and the chassis

I hope there's gonna be a 4th Gen but how much would that thing run?$? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

Those guys over at the RX-8 forum are all in denial. They think everyone is jelous of their rides and are therefore bashing them.

I feel sorry for them. They just paid over 30K for a weezer of a car. But hell let them pretend its a fast car. Its more fun to rip thier headlights out and crush them on the street.

So mazda dynoed at 238 flywheel horsepower? Cause wouldn't that put it over 200rwhp at 15% drivetrain loss? I think its more like 200 flywheel horsepower since Jim's (brother?) saw 170-180rwhp on the dyno.

I'd be taking the car back for a refund.
