Why is there cowling around the filter, any benefit for having it?

maybe there is a direct feed of air going to the intake and Fujita figures there is an advantage to this? I'v seen this style of intake but all was carbon fiber from M gruppe or how ever you spell their name...

The filter has no carbon fiber. It's just the carbon fiber "look".

Hey chuck, any word on the price and/or dyno results for that CAI yet? It's the 15th, so they should be on sale today right???

Feed's intake is the nicest looking so far (the K&N comes 2nd in my book)..



Wonder if it'll produce the most gains...
