Looking for FC drop top convert for sale does not need to run but good shape. would like it near Jersey for local pickup

Are you still interested? I live in northern NJ and have a red 88 vert in pretty good condition. Ill let you know tomorrow if the engine starts (ive had it prepped for storage for 2 years). Its got a new top on it, the paint is a bit old and is peeling on the hood, and the mirror casings are faded. Other than that, everything worked when I parked it (and ill see if it all works when i start her up tomorrow), no smoke, ran strong.

Ok, the good news is that she starts and is running very well. The chassis has 141,000 miles on it, but I believe the engine was rebuilt by the previous owner. All accessories are working, except the AC isnt blowing cold (I dont think it ever has since Ive owned it, I never use it). It has new brembo front brake disks and pads, and I have ones for the rear too that would go with the car, I just havent installed them cause the rears didnt need it. The tread on the tires is still very good, the new top is nice, and I have a strut tower brace waiting to be installed that'd go with her too. She has a new RB cat-back exhaust on her that looks and sounds great, and all emissions equipt are still there so she should pass with flying colors (she did for me) Her body is very straight, and the only rust ive seen is right in front of the rear wheels. mechanically, she is very solid.

Now for the bad: the battery wont hold a charge anymore (which is the one real mechanical problem)

she needs new shifter bushings, the stick has a lot of play in it

The leather seats need reskinning (but the rest of the interior is in pretty good condition

The paint on the hood is peeling (which cant really be seen too well in the pictures since its raining)

The mirror housings have faded to a nice pink color.



Thats pretty much it, all in all Id say she's a pretty solid car in need of a little TLC. she's located in boonton, near morristown. My number is 917-714-1957. Since I go to college, Im not home too much, but I am this weekend, and can come back if you want to set up a time to meet and see her. Id be willing to consider trades, and am really interested in picking up a nice, solid FB (cosmetics are secondary), or maybe a nissan 240sx... something light and manual.
