I’m sure most everyone is familiar with my car so I’m going to keep this short. I have been swaying back and forth on this for a few months now. I thought I had it sold the last couple of weeks so I started looking for my replacement project. I’ve got the bug bad for another project car so I’m posting my car up for sale. I wasn’t actively trying to sell it earlier but since I found something else, I’m ready to sell.

I’m sorry guys! I’ll still be around but I’m bored because there isn’t too much left for me to do. I enjoy the build up more than the finished product.

My price is $20,000 obo. I’ve got a lot of short video clips that I took for the guy that backed out on me if someone is serious and wants to see them. Please don’t ask me to e-mail all the footage unless you are serious. I’ll try to be as available as possible but I do not want to spend all my time e-mailing people that just want the footage. I’ve also got a lot of pictures posted on my web site and a video that my neighbor put together for me.

The car is running perfect, boost holds solid on both the high and the low setting. It has a clean title and car fax. It has never been in any accident and it has the original paint.

I am the third owner. I have all the paper work since day one. I have a spread sheet that has every maintenance and mod recorded by date, mileage, cost, etc. Example, every oil change ever performed is recorded by the date, mileage, type of oil, and type of filter. Everything is well documented on this car.

Everything is listed on the Mods page. If anybody has any questions, just yell.

Oh yeah, just to get this out there… If the car needs to be shipped to the new owner, the car and title will be held until the funds are verified. I will deliver the car within ~100 miles and I’ll also deliver the car to a shipping company terminal in Atlanta, Birmingham, or Nashville if it is cheaper than shipping out of Chattanooga, TN. I prefer half way local buyers but money talks.

My quick disclaimer:

Car is sold “as is” with no warranty. The datalogit and LM-1 are not included. The LM-1 will be used for tuning my next project and the datalogit is spoken for already. Also the feed cf cover was sold about a month ago. I was going to buy another one but that didn’t work out.

Thanks for viewing!

I thought about parting most of it out but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. If it doesn't sale then I will not be too dissapointed. My wife wants me to keep it anyway. Probably just so I will not buy another car to dump money and time into... Little does she know, I've already got it bad for another project. I'll be getting something else regardless. Maybe she want make me sleep on the couch too long! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Not much traffic in here. I think I'm going to try auto trader. That's where I found it 3 years ago...

rowtareh 11-21-2005 08:32 PM

What're you replacing it with? Good luck with the sale.

sweet7 11-21-2005 09:24 PM

Definately a beautiful car, saw that video you posted over on the other forum. Good luck man.

AgentSpeed 11-22-2005 02:53 PM

Replacement project will be an old 67-68 mustang fastback. Not an elanor clone! Just a fun weekend car to cruise in. I want to do a complete resto job this time. Hopefully it'll keep me occupied longer...

Latest news on the car. If everyone has looked at my pictures on my web page, notcice the oil pedestal. Well it is not on there anymore. I put the stock oil pedestal back on. Here is the reason why: (go to the group buy section for further information)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"After conversing with the manufacturer of the oil filter pedestals he forwarded me this statement:

As a continued effort to supply the best products possible we would like to offer an upgrade to an existing product you have purchased. This upgrade involves the permanent attachment of the filter thread and/or the banjo fitting on the replacement oil pedestal you purchased. This is a voluntary upgrade that will be performed free of charge for you our customer. A singular report of failure on the filter thread post was brought to our attention. We are unclear of all the circumstances related to this failure, but this upgrade is how all future pedestals will be manufactured. You may at your discretion and piece of mind remove the part and ship it back to us for update.

If you desire to take part in this free upgrade; package your oil filter pedestal and address the package as the following:

MRC Manufacturing

ATTN: Daniel Eichner

465 Maltbie Street, Suite 215

Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045

So all who desire to take part in this upgrade can be informed an email with the above statement will be sent to each of your email addresses."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sent it off about a week ago so it should be on its way back sometime soon. I originally just hand tightened the stock one on just to keep stuff out of my oil lines. A guy is coming by today to look at my car so I tightened everything up and got my car back out on the road. I WILL include the aluminum oil pedestal with the sale, it just will not be installed. It worked great for me, I had zero problems with it. The only reason I sent it back was to get the latest revision done for free. Better safe than sorry even though it worked perfect for me. Also the bigger lip made changing oil filters so much easier too. Oil would not run all down the side of the engine like it does with the stock oil pedestal.

Repeat, the stock oil pedestal IS on the car currently and the aluminum oil pdestal WILL BE included with the sale of the car (just not installed). I'll even throw in the auto zone wrench I cut in half to make installing it easy!

Thanks, it's going to need a lot of TLC but I think it will be a fun project.

Yes, scammers do suck...

Tessai 12-05-2005 05:32 PM

I got about 5 of those when I sold my Jetta... even went as far as getting one guy to send me a check, I was going to see if my bank could track who sent it or who canceled the payment on it, when they do, to see if I could catch the guy.

But he never sent the check :(.

Beautiful car for sale...

Is the fastback a '65, or is it a later model? I've been looking for a rustang for awhile, and can't find a decent 65. I'm beginning to think its a lot of effort to find one that has functional air scoops.. maybe I should just settle for later models as well.

How did you come across that one?

AgentSpeed 12-11-2005 07:49 PM

It's a 68 fastback. I wanted a 67 or a 68 fastback, I just got lucky when I was searching. I found it on a vintage mustang forum. The guy has owned it for the last 17 years and has the original build sheet. I just hope it is worth it once I go up there to pick it up. From all the pictures, it looks like a go!

alexblaster 12-15-2005 10:08 AM

If you don't mind me asking, how much are you planning on paying for that rustang project car?

Original sheetmetal? Unbelievable. I hope all that bondo/primer was used to 'enchance' the metal surface and not to fill it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

Link the mustang forum url, I'm still dying to get one.

AgentSpeed 12-15-2005 08:14 PM

Around 7 g's for it and another engine... (A crap load)

http://www.vintage-mustang.com/

alexblaster 12-15-2005 11:44 PM

There's something backwards about paying more for a car now than it originally cost close to 20 years ago, that doesn't run (i'm assuming) and has the worst paint job ever.

...god, just give me the chance.

yup, we're freaks.

Good luck with the rustang. Keep a online blog (with MANY pics) of how the rustang project is going.

-alex

AgentSpeed 12-17-2005 08:58 AM

Yeah paying way more for a car now than it was actually sold for doesn't sit too well with me either...

Don't worry, I'll keep a couple of pages on my web site dedicated to the restoration. I'm planning on going all out on this one so it's going to take a while. I'll definately have tons of pics!

Yeah I like Silver too. I searched for a couple of years before I bought mine. I only wanted White w/ black or Silver w/ black. I finally got tired of looking and bought a white w/ tan leather and carpet. Thankfully the doors were black so it was an easy switch on the carpet. I just never got around to switching the seats...

Latest news: I pulled the gauge cluster a couple of days ago. I'm going to resolder the joints tonight or tomorrow so hopefully that'll fix the tach. (fingers crossed)

AgentSpeed 12-28-2005 05:58 PM

The tach works now thanks to Phil (herblenny). He traded me a working tach last night. Thanks Phil!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...nkeedance2.gif
