87 Base near Philadelphia
 

For sale is my project 1987 Mazda RX-7 non-turbo base model.

Good:
~105k original miles
~25k miles on remanufactured 13b engine
New starter
Air filter replaced recently
Brakes replaced recently
Spark plugs and wires replaced recently
Front cover gasket replaced with metal one from RX-8
Tires have lots of life in them


Bad:
Transmission needs to be replaced. I do have a friend with a T2 trans, driveshaft, and rear who is willing to let it go for $600.
No A/C but that is because I removed it for weight reduction. I still have all of the parts for it and will give them to the buyer of the car.
Wipers only work on one speed.
Needs an alignment.

Ugly:
The car was painted with black Rustoleum roll on paint. It will look great once the wet sanding and buffing work is finished.


This car being a base model without power locks, windows, or sunroof makes for a great race car project. I started it with simple maintenance and weight reduction but moved on to something else. I can't have the car here any more so it has to go. The engine is in great shape and would make for a good 6 port turbo project. The wheels that are on the front in the picture are now on all four corners, I will include the stock wheels with the sale of the car also. I'm asking $2000 OBO.
