I'm selling my '86 GXL. Just under 120,000 miles and mostly stock. No A/C or power steering. All the usual GXL equipment sans adjustable shocks (though I have all the hardware if you want it). Outside in good shape save for a rust bubble on the sunroof (the rest of the car is rust-free), a bit of clearcoat blemish on the rear driver's-side quarterpanel, and primer spots on the roof. Again, no rust. Always garaged and never driven in the winter except for this past winter (https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR sorry). All the glass is good, with the VIN etched into all of it. OEM wing/spoiler and foglights (they look like they're from the Mazda FinishLine factory accessory catalog). S5 GXL rims (I bought it with them), tires still have plenty of tread.

Mechanically excellent. Rear end oil changed in December, LSD additive added (clutch-type LSD); tranny oil changed in December, used Penzoil Synchromesh oil with great results. Engine oil changed every 3000 miles or less, using 20W50 Castrol GTX. OMP still working, oil comsumption maybe 1 quart every 1500 miles. I use premix fairly often it just for some extra protection. Haven't done a compression test, but it's never failed to start and gets 24-26mpg on the highway with plenty of power. I half-suspect that it's a rebuilt engine due to the engine wiring looking like it's been unplugged and plugged back in, but I don't know for sure. Zero coolant usage. Transmission replaced with a used unit (mileage unknown but works great https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR original transmission ran out of oil due to me not tightening the drain plug enough) back in August.

Could use a new headlight switch, current one is finicky but works. Rear wiper doesn't work; rear defroster doesn't work either (I don't see any wires going to the rear glass ... so that might explain it).

Currently located in Longview, TX, as I am in college there; it's registered in Massachusetts but I have the title here. I drove it from Massachusetts to Longview (2000 miles) without as much as a single glitch.

Asking $2500; I can deliver it within a reasonable distance of Longview if I can get a ride back.

bump for a fellow east texan rotor owner

Thanks.

Would consider a Honda Nighthawk or a RWD Volvo for trade (or part of a deal).

Another picture for y'all.

take the effort to clean your engine bay please

The dust on the shroud makes it look very dirty but in reality it's not bad. It's not a show car, it's a driver.

Bump.

Make me an offer.
