Greetings all. I have my '86 Base for sale. I have had it for over six years and regretably, the time has come. This car has been extensively repaired/overhauled by me. Approx four years ago the engine was rebuilt with lapped and nitrided side housings, new rotor housings, and every single seal/spring and bearing replaced with new parts. It is an excellent runner. The crank has been modded with the oil jets and the oil passage between the front cover and end housing has been modified as well with a stand pipe and o ring. All the aluminum parts were bead blasted and then clear coated with Imron, with steel or iron parts primered and coated with black Imron.



The running gear is in very good shape. The A/C compressor is one summer old, and a new fuel pump was installed about two months ago. It has a Bonez cat replacement pipe. The windshield is about two years old and is perfect, along with the rest of the glass which is tinted.



The engine is monitored by Stewart Warner mechanical gauges (oil pressure and temp.) mounted in a custom built holder that replaces the ash tray.



Now for the bad news. The body is rough, with three sheet metal dents. One is at the left rear side marker light, and the other two are on the front fenders, (one on each). The front end is damaged along with the hood. The dents are easily repairable but I believe the hood and front end need to be replaced. Otherwise the body has a nice paint job with DuPont Chroma Clear being used. The interior is presentable, but worn.



The engine has about 50,000 miles since I rebuilt it. Tranny is in excellent shape.



The car is located in Marion, Arkansas which is about 20 minutes from Memphis, TN. I am asking $800.00 for the car, which I feel the engine alone is worth. Come see it, and then drive it home. It is a good driving car with about 189,000 miles on it.
