1993 Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) - Clean CA Title
110,901 miles, Approx. 40,000 on factory rebuild motor swap Touring Model, silver stone metallic, black leather, sunroof, no spoiler 13B-REW, factory ports and seals, 5 speed manual, 99 rear lights I'm not 100% certain what the car is worth given the modifications and condition - I'd like to start at $10k and see if there is interest. I'm willing to negotiate. Facts about the car I am the third owner of the car, originally sold in California, I purchased from a private party in San Diego in 2001. Car was in a very minor accident in 2007, damage was to the passenger side rear quarter. Professionally repaired and the entire car was repainted factory color. Car has been garaged its entire life since I took ownership. The short description is -yes- this is a project car, it has all the pieces one would need to get running again with some experience and misc. part replacements. I cannot guarantee compression on the motor after so many years, this car is an ideal scenario for someone to drop in a clean motor and build everything on a stand. The tires are OLD – I drove the car so infrequently that it still runs on the tires I bought with the Volk wheels in 2005, yes they probably have minor flat spots on them by now although I’ve never let them flatten. Air conditioning has been deleted (compressor still in place on motor). The car is in pieces, I intended to return the car to running factory twin turbos and life happened – I’ve lost interest in the project. The car was parked for a long time on jackstands, when taken down the transmission was stuck in first gear to no avail. The transmission has been dropped and sits on a tranny jack stand with clutch and flywheel; turbo and manifold / exhaust system are also off the car. The motor has not been run four years; both rotors still turn smoothly when turned manually on the crank. The interior and exterior are in VERY good shape considering this car is 25 years old now. No tears in the leather, no dings to the body. The passenger handle broke previously, a common problem on FD;s, it’s since been reinforced and repaired. Door handles were replaced some years ago, in great shape. I have almost all of the original factory parts that were taken off the car and can include them with the sale, that includes air conditioning components, original air box, BOSE rear sub and tubes – I’ve lost track of all that I may have in boxes. The one component I do not have is the factory exhaust system, from the turbo downpipe/cat all the way back. Car will come with the exhaust system described in the modifications below. I am not interested in parting the car out. My first sports car was a ’79 RX-7 and I’d like this car to go a place where it will be loved, put back together and driven. All modifications to the car have been done in a minimalist fashion; this car is not flashy and appears stock other than the wheels and ’99 front lip.
