Hello all,

I've just bought a new car, so it's time to let my trusty white 1987 N/A bone-stock Rx-7 go to a new home. I'm planning on putting it on Autotrader this weekend for $1800, but if any of you are interested, and are close to Columbia, MO (dead center of the state, 2 hours from either St. Louis or Kansas City), I will sell it to members of this board for $1500.

If anyone is interested (and serious), let me know and I will be happy to provide a ton of detail about the car, and take a picture of it from any angle you request. I'll wait to see if anyone here is interested before I go to all that trouble, though. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png It's always been a nice reliable car - it was given a complete mechanical inspection a month ago by a potential buyer, and the only thing the mechanic recommended was a tune-up and new front wheel bearings.

For now, the quick rundown:

1987 Rx-7

Columbia, MO

Non-turbo

Totally stock

5-speed

100K miles

Very reliable in any weather

Recent clutch (about 5,000 miles ago)

Kenwood CD/MP3 deck (only a few months old)

No major damage or rust

Interior in pretty good condition

Good exhaust and stainless mufflers

Bad news:

1. Front wheel bearings should be replaced according to the mechanic, but it's certainly driveable until you get around to it - he estimated $80 to do the job.

2. Cold-solder problem with clock - it doesn't work most of the time.

3. Cold-solder problem with wipers- they work, but when you turn them off, they just stop wherever they are.

4. Cold-solder problem with A/C console - when you have the thing set to cool, it automatically blows out the face vents - when you set it to heat, it blows out the windshield vents. Luckily, that works ok for me.

5. A few parking-lot dings.

6. Might need shocks - the right rear wheel has a tendency to hop under throttle if you hit rippled pavement. The mechanic didn't see a problem with them in his inspection, though, so I'm not sure.

7. Rip along outside seat of driver's side seat bottom. You know the place.

What do you think? Does this sound worthwhile to anyone?
