My husband is selling his 2004 Mazda RX-8 (Base with Sport Package) as he has recently purchased a truck. It is a great car! It is a 6spd Manual. The exterior of the car is Winning Blue in color and the paint is in decent shape. The interior is grey and black cloth (no sunroof) and is also in decent shape. The A/C works great making this a fast and comfortable daily driver, as well as an excellent road trip vehicle with ample trunk space and seating 4.

We have done a lot of modifications to this car to improve cooling, performance, and longevity, as well as to positively affect tuning.

Below is a list of all of the modifications that have been done to this car.


Cooling Modifications:
All aluminum thick radiator
MazMart RE-Medy water pump
MazMart RE-Medy 168f thermostat
RX8Performance Fan Controller high speed at 180f
Battery moved to trunk to improve airflow
Vents behind oil coolers opened up for airflow
Blue silicone radiator hoses

Performance Modifications:
AEM cold air intake (stock airbox also included)
Exedy Pro-Lite lightweight flywheel
Axial Flow Short Shifter
BHR coils and wires
Aftermarket CAT back exhaust
Clutch Bracket reinforced and welded

Longevity Modifications:
Engine fully rebuilt at 125k miles
New soft and hard seals
Side seals set at minimum clearance
New bearings everywhere
Atkins oil pellet bypass
New clutch at time of rebuild
Engine was run with a BHR midpipe and CAT removed to save the life of the CAT from 95k miles
(Stock CAT has been installed for sale as BHR midpipe has been sold separately)
Space behind radiator has been freed up for airflow reasons
RX8Performance Aluminum undertray
RacingBeat Radiator and oil cooler screens
10w-40 SAE oil for bearings
Electronic Steering rack wires soldered
MSP-16 flash

Included with Vehicle is Laptop with tuning software (MazdaEdit Personal)
ECU tuning adapter Tactrix OpenPort 2.0

Was run with a tune effecting:
Oil injection rates turned up 20% across the board
Redline turned up to 9500 RPM
Spark Dwell adjusted for BHR coils
Tune has been reverted to Stock for the sale

Additionally, we are including a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 ECU tuning adapter as well as a dedicated tuning laptop with the sale of the car.
