Hi,

I’m selling a *rare* one-of-a-kind ’93 Mazda R1 Converted Right Hand Drive (RHD) FD Rx-7. It’s a 5-speed Manual with approx. 103,xxx miles on the chassis and clean/clear title (In-hand). Since the car is an R1 package it comes with the R1 front lip, R1 rear spoiler, R1 dual oil coolers, black interior, and hard-top (Non sunroof). Color combination is the OEM ’99 spec red (Brighter and more lustrous than the ’93 VR) exterior and complete Black interior. Exterior is in fantastic condition. Paint still looks Brand New. I am rating the exterior a 9.5/10 only because the car is driven and being so has a few small nicks in the front bumper. Also, the rear bumper has one spider crack. No significant dings, dents or damage.

This particular Rx-7 was converted over from an original LHD to a RHD. The front clip was not cut. Instead all components were purchased from Japan (Steering Rack, Dash, Interior, ABS Unit/Lines, etc.) and installed. Corresponding holes were cut on the RHD side so that the steering rack/column could be installed. The holes originally on the LHD side were sealed, welded, and painted so the swap looks original. The dash and all corresponding RHD interior parts were purchased and swapped over. Finally, a complete RHD black interior rear-seat set was purchased/installed to complete the transformation. The work performed on this car was extremely thorough and it shows. Simply in terms of build quality I would give this car a 10/10. Vin tags are intact and there will be no issues registering, insuring or most importantly driving the car. 100% legally registered and insured!

I had the motor completely rebuilt with all OEM Mazda rebuild parts (All seals, gaskets, oil rings, etc.). As it sits now the motor has approx. less than 3000 miles on it and I compression tested it two weeks ago and it pulled a fantastic 120+psi on all faces. The motor also pulls approx. 18-20 InHg @ 800 RPM. At the same time, I also had the transmission completely rebuilt. Synchros were changed, seals were changed and it now has approx. less than 3000 miles on it. Finally, the turbochargers were converted to Non-sequential to simplify future maintenance on the vehicle. The turbochargers that were installed have approx. 42xxx miles on them and do not smoke, leak or have any other boosting/spooling issues.

Finally, the interior is in excellent overall condition. The seats are OEM, but have been re-stitched and re-upholstered…black with red stitching seats. The steering wheel is a JDM efini wheel. All interior plastics were refinished…black/grey finish. Rear JDM seat conversion is complete and includes rear seatbelts (Not installed, but included with sale). Has an aftermarket sound system that was professionally installed which includes a TV/Navigation Screen, Speakers all around and an Amplifier. I would rate the interior a 9.5/10. Only reason I’m not giving it a 10/10 is because the rear hatch plastics are slightly scratched up.

I believe in full disclosure so I’ve attempted to mention anything and everything I’ve noticed. I’ve personally owned 7 FD Rx-7’s at this point and have NEVER been more conflicted about selling this Rx-7 than any other one’s I’ve owned. I don’t believe I will ever have another chance to own another RHD 7 that will compare in terms of condition and of course legality. This car attracts a LOT of attention and IMO completely warrants it. You will not be disappointed.
