So I've got $18,000 and I've decided that I want a 3rd Gen, but not just any 3rg Gen. I want to find the best I can.

I prefer a new motor/turbos, upgraded clutch, rebuilt tranny, and a body kit and some wheels would be nice.

Is that too much to ask for $18,000? Should I wait a couple months and save another $5,000 or so? I don't want HUGE power...300HP to the wheels is enough to keep me PLENTY happy. Besides, I am looking for some decent reliability.

I'm in the Maryland area...I think the RX7 is about the best bang for the buck that I'm going to get so if you have one for sale that's had a little work done to it I might be interested. My email is jarmenta@pheared.net and I've been sitting by waiting for the perfect car. I have a couple options but I want the PERFECT match. I saw some Korean guy in Michigan with an amazing RX7 and I wrote him an email...we'll see what happens with that but I think that car will sell really quickly.

I do mean business so if you're selling something that you think might be a good match, please email me and tell me more about your car.

THANKS!

18,000 will buy you a very nice Rx-7. Best bet is to buy a stock one and learn as you build. However I bought my Fd with new engine, tranny, turbos for under 13k

Wow! That sounds like a great deal! I currently have a 2002 Audi A4 that I take meticulous care of. I've thrown some money at it and realized that the RX7 is a far superior platfom in terms of getting the performance I want. So, here we are!

:O)

I'm sending you another email right now with details. My car is great for the street, i've been daily driving it for over 2 years with a single turbo. If you want less power you can always turn the boost down. Believe it or not, the car has been more reliable after I went single turbo than before.

Oh, I believe it because going single takes care of tons of vac lines and the solenoids and stuff. How many miles on the motor? Good compression? What about the turbo?

How many miles on the body and what kinds of issues have you had with the car? Have you rebuilt the tranny?

25k on the motor, it has good compression. Turbo only has 5k on it and it perfect. Chassis has about 102k and is solid as a rock, especially with the suspension mods I have, which is all adjustable. Tranny was rebuilt when I bought the car about 30-35k ago and has no grinding. Only issues I had with the car was when I had stock twins and had boost problems constantly. Since i've gone single turbo I have only had a clutch go out on me. Very mechanically sound car.

Why are you selling the car? It sounds great...I would probably have it tuned with another setting on the boost controller so that I could drive it with about 275HP to the wheels for everyday commuting.

I am definitely interested. Please email me pics of the exterior and interior. By the way, I am in MD so we'd have to work out some sort of shipping...
