I would get another tranny, swap it in a afternoon, and keep using the car and not take it to the track anymore until you get the funds, the time, and the parts for

your swap.

na parts are eveywhere theres a gtu in the junkyard by my house im use if u take the tranny out your self it`ll be way less then 100 dollars . then at b & b i forget which town that is theres a few na rx 7s there wit the trannys till in them just no damn power window switchs .
