I have an '86 that I just put a '91 13b into. I need the thermostat housing and, I believe the radiator too. Doesn't the '91 have a seperate fill neck & cap location, where on the '86 the fill & cap were on the thermo housing? Anyway, if I haven't confused you let me know

As a side note....I was going to just swap waterpump housing and pump from '86 13b to '91 13b, but the '91 has two sensors in it (temp & level?) where the '86 only has one (temp?). If anyone knows how I can accomplish this, it would save me a few bucks. My son actually....

Thanks!

Mike

the original s4 thermostat housing was not a presure cap that is just is filler/purger and the presure cap is on the radiator of the s4 , now on the s5 there is no cap on the thermostat housing . also on a side note the s4 and s5 water pump and thermostat housings are not interchangable unless you change frount covers the water pumps are shaped differnt on the back side , as i found out the hard way, and you cannot fit the s5 pump on a s4 cover and visa virsa. also the bolt patern of the thermo housings are differnt so just changing them wont work either. and yet again if chaning frount covers from an s5 to a s4 or the other way around then your goin to need to change the mop at the same time with the correct unit.

how ever i do have a s5 rad and s5 water pump and s5 frount cover and electric mop for sale.

Thanks for the reply and the info!

Well then...based on your reply I guess I'll have to get a thermostat housing and a radiator for an S5, in which case I am interested in buying your S5 radiator depending, of course, on the price.

Let me know please. Can I assume it is in working order without need of repair?

Mike
