I am new to the rotary world and I'm already hooked.

I bought a 1980 RX7 few months ago and drove it down from Ohio to Texas but it stopped just short of home. Looks like I need a engine.

being new, I don't really know where to go or how much i should expect to spend.

hey man i have a complete set up minus one rotor. so you can use one of your older rotors. its already taken apart for the rebuild. the housings, irons, 1 rotor, oil cooler, tranny, carb and just about a complete setup minus one rotor. located in arkansas and will ship via fed ex quickly.

OK 1st thing is to search the forums about engine related things. Compretion testing a rotary is a great place to start. Check yours and know for shure whats going on in there before calling it dead.

Good engines can be had for as little as $100 up to $700 depending on the seller and parts included like, intake, carb, exaust, milage ect. Finding one out of a "recently"wrecked car is usaly a good way to go. Not left to rot for 5 years! Stear clear of those at all costs unless you are looking for a core. If the prior owner loved the car to death and said it ran great before he hit that pole last month and can start it for you prior to pulling it out, jump on it!

Also look into what made your engine fail in the 1st place. Is the OMP system working? Did it over heat prior to meltdown? Are the barings in the distributor sloppy (points dont like sloppy barings 1 bit!)? Did a coil fail? Carb problems? fule pump falure? ect. Do your home work and it will pay off.

i got all the stuff for sale to make it run well minus 1 rotor and ill let it go for a good price if interested. plus im close to texas.
