I am selling my gt 35/40 turbo 1.06 a/r kit. Includes the turbo with polished compressor housing, tubular stainless steel manifold, custom wastegate, stainless steel downpipe with 2 o2 bungs (extra one for wideband), wastegate plumbed back into downpipe for noise suppression, stainless steel braided lines and Earl's fittings for oil and coolant supply, gaskets, K&N filter. The turbo cartridge was replaced about 6k miles ago. I was very happy with this turbo kit. Spool time is amazing and it makes good power. Its probably one of the best street/strip setups out. I put down 430 hp to the wheels at 15 psi with this turbo. I also made 470 at 20 psi. The reason I am selling it is I am going to be testing out a new turbo kit on my car. I am asking $3000 for everything.

Here is a pic of the turbine. It has a few minor nicks. I ran it lie this for a while and honestly couldn't tell the difference.

If the turbine wheel is damaged too bad, it will throw the whole assembly out of balance. The nicks happened when I popped a motor a few months ago. I decided to re-use the turbo as it was for the hell of it, and it felt just as good as new. If I didn't take the turbo apart and look, I wouldn't have been able to tell that the wheel had some minor damage. If you want I can show you pics of a really bad one for comparison.

Which turbo your testing, Ihor? From the same vendor? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

That turbine is damaged to the point that it'll throw it out of whack. It's only a matter of time. Majestic Turbo in Waco, TX can fix it. I believe it runs about $150 with shipping.

They actually weld (for lack of the accurate technical description) the edges of the blades, filling in the nicks, making it good as new. It's balanced afterwards. They did it to my Mitsubishi T78 and I couldn't tell that it had ever been welded. It was seamless and looked brand new. They do great work. Just remember, it's not the Majestic in Florida, but the one in Waco.

You might want to look into Majestic in Waco, Huk. Alan's twins were rebuilt by them, and they lasted over 70k before they died---quite a long time for stock rebuilds.
Hell, I drive through Waco when I travel between Fort Worth and Hood. I can drop the sucker off for ya to save on shipping https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif |
Ok I talked to Majestic and the can indeed fix it for about $150. I can send it out or the buyer can, its up to them.

I'm interested in the turbo. I emailed you about my Electromotive TEC-II kit. Are you still considering some kind of trade?
