I was putting together a flush mount headlight kit for my car but decided to sell the car. Now that the car is gone these have to go as well. I put together enough for about 4 kits and I was going to sell them to help defray the costs of my own kit. Now I'm selling everything for cost (shipped) to clear everything out. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or you want more pics.

Selling a 95% complete flush mount RE style headlight kit. kit #1;

HID, uses Hella 90mm headlights. The buckets are painted VR. Covers are genuine RE Amemiya smoked covers, curved to fit the contour of your car. Only thing missing from this kit are the brackets to hold the lights on, several people online have made these already and I'm sure they'll help you with what you'll need. I no longer have my car so I can't make any templates. For reference, I turned one HID headlight on and compared them to my Osram bulbed stock lights. That ONE HID lamp was brighter than both stock lights together, simply amazing. If you want, you can wire these up so that when you go to high beam, all 4 lights are on at the same time (using the included relays).

You get;

- (2) projector low beams, HID lights using D2S bulbs (genuine HID, not rebased bulbs)

- (2) high beams, H9 bulbs (brighter than stock)

- (2) weather-proof harnesses for H9 high beam lights

- (2) ballasts for HID + weather-proof harnesses

- (2) brackets to secure ballasts

- (2) harnesses to use for your stock harness, no cutting/splicing necessary!

- (2) smoked RE Amemiya headlight covers ($200 @ http://www.jt-imports.com/Clearance_Items.htm)

- (2) buckets professionally painted VR w/mounting hardware

- (4) sets of adjusters for mounting headlights

- (2) fuse holders (automotive grade, 30 amp)

- (2) automotive relays (so you don't melt your car)

All the above for $1000 shipped (compare to painted HID RE kit minus a set of brackets) For pics of what these lenses look like on a car, go to https://www.nopistons.com/forums/ind...howtopic=52991

Kit #2; I have two of these

Halogen, uses Hella 90mm headlights. The buckets are primered white. No covers included (can be purchased from someone else online). Same as above, only thing missing from this kit are the brackets to hold the lights, same as above.

You get;

- (2) projector low beams

- (2) high beams, H9 bulbs (brighter than stock)

- (4) weather-proof harnesses for H9 low/high beam lights

- (2) harnesses to use for your stock harness, no cutting/splicing necessary!

- (2) buckets primered white w/mounting hardware

- (4) sets of adjusters for mounting headlights

All the above for $400 shipped

Kit #3; I have one of these

Same as kit #2 except 2 sets of adjusters are missing. These can be purchased for $14 from rallylights.com, but they're not necessary. Some bolts, nuts, and washers from home depot will do just fine. The buckets were used for test fitting and are smudged with dirty fingers. Since you're going to paint them anyway it won't matter but I understand wanting "new" stuff. Also, there is a "2" written on one of the buckets in sharpie. One high beam and one low beam have an ear cut off. You need 3 to mount, I was experimenting when I cut these off. Due to the missing components and cut housings, I'll sell this kit for $360 shipped.

If you want to try and make your own covers, I have a sheet of lexan for sale. You can make 2 covers from this sheet. Lexan has been treated with coating for anti-scratch and is guaranteed not to yellow. I'll sell this sheet for $30, packaged with one of the kits above.

I know there is a GB going on for a similar set for less. These headlights are genuine Hella headlights with the proper cut-off. All halogen bulbs are H9, and the HID bulbs are genuine D2S, not rebased. These are the same bulbs used in all oem HID applications. The low beam housings were designed for both H9 bulbs and D2S bulbs. All housings are made from magnesium (hard as $hit to cut!) and use GLASS covers. If for some reason you bust an HID bulb, no problem getting a replacement - order it from anyone online or go down to your local luxury car dealer. The headlights are made by Hella and are DOT legal. Each lamp has a "DOT" label. I don't know what the intricacies of legal lighting are, but I doubt a cop will either. Show him the DOT markings and you're better off than with nothing. If you want to compare kits, just look at the cut-off between these lights and the other kit, no comparison. These are the same lights included in the RE kit. Oh yeah, the lights patterns are angled toward the right, to keep glare away from on-coming drivers.

Hey would u sell the high beam alone? Btw haven we met do u live in Michgain? Khris

Stang94GT 08-02-2005 08:02 PM

Khris - I used to live in Michigan, recently moved to CA. I didn't want to try and smog the FD so I decided to sell. That's why I'm unloading all my FD stuff. Sorry, I have 4 nearly complete kits and don't want to separate them unless I have a buyer for everything else.

C'mon peeps, compare my pricing vs RE's pricing and you'll see that my stuff is a lot cheaper for the same parts.

Oh yeah - I've got some lexan sheets that haven't been treated with the anti-scratch that I'll throw in for free to anyone interested.

illmattik 08-03-2005 04:19 PM

man i would get it in a instant if it was complete for dat much...DOH!

HUMPA BUMP!

Stang94GT 08-03-2005 06:29 PM

It's complete other than for 1 set of brackets that should take no more than an hour to make. It's a HUGE savings over the RE HID kit. If you want, I can give you a link to pictures of a similar kit, it took this person a lot less time to make his brackets. A little more time and it would look more polished but whatever. Keep in mind also that the covers are the real RE Amemiya lenses, they're curved to fit the contour of the car, not flat.

Best regards

I might be interested in the HID kit. I just have to wait and see with my money situation first. Give me a week and I'll get back with you.

Stang94GT 09-25-2005 10:37 AM

No problem, still for sale!

22GoinOn2 10-03-2005 11:38 AM

The smoked covers. . .you mean they are tinted? Can you take a few close ups? Also is there anyone still selling these covers? I'd like to get some that aren't "smoked out"

Stang94GT 10-03-2005 10:10 PM

Yes, they're tinted. I'm sure you could talk to Jason and he may hook you up with a set. There's a set of smoked covers on his site right now, don't know what he'll charge for a set of clears since I purchased these at the GB price (same as currently listed on his site for the smoked set).

Stang94GT 10-03-2005 10:16 PM

My bad, I just checked Jason's site and he must have sold those covers by now.

Sale pending on kit #1, others still available!

Stang94GT 10-18-2005 01:19 AM

Kit 1 sold, but I've still got the VR buckets. I'm willing to sell one of the buckets on their own (primered or painted) - primered is 150, painted is 200 shipped. I've got another headlight project that I think I'm going to break a set apart for https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

So basically what remains is 2 of the kit #2's, 1 set of VR painted buckets. I've also got some untreated lexan covers that I'll throw in for free to whoever gets a kit or the buckets.

GreyGT-C 10-18-2005 03:26 AM

The RE Amemiya covers were pinkish tinted, but they've already been spoken for. The free covers I spoke of in my last post are clear.

I bought the HID kit and it arrived a few days ago. The kit is very extensive and includes just about everything I need for the kit. It came in a timely manner, well packaged, and included everything he said it would. This guy is very trustworthy and very professional. I can't wait to install it and see those HIDs shine. Thanks again, Ryan.

Stang94GT 10-30-2005 01:03 AM

Ryan - thanks for the update! Thanks for making the transaction an easy one, I'm sure you'll enjoy the lights once you install them. Have you hooked them up to your battery to see how much brighter they are? Just plug ONE of the HID lights up and compare that one light to both your lows or highs, you'll be amazed at the difference. One HID light basically washed out my high beams, and I was running the euro-spec sylvania silverstars (even brighter than the US). And the cut-off is amazing, you'd swear it was an oem kit. Enjoy the lights!

No I haven't yet. Right now I'm trying to track down a blown sensor. I will try to post a few pics when I get around to it. Thanks again.

22GoinOn2 11-17-2005 09:12 PM

Where should I look for the mounting brackets that weren't included in the kit? Does anyone have pics with measurements? I'm sure I can make them myself, but I don't know the measurements. Thanks, Ryan.

Stang94GT 11-19-2005 12:26 PM

Pics of the bracket can be seen here;

http://www.rotaryextreme.com/sleeklightinstall.html

Measure the centers between each circle that make up the buckets, measure the headlight housings. Cut 2 circles the size of each headlight housing distanced by that first measurement you took. Cut these circles in a rectangle. The other portion of the bracket is a 90-degree angle that's bolted th the first plate. Note that it's bolted at a slight angle depending on which side of the car it's meant for.

22GoinOn2 10-18-2006 09:06 AM

Hey does anyone know which side of the H9 connector is supposed to be positive? Or does that even matter with halogen bulbs? Oh and by the way Stang94GT . . . I'm FINALLY installing the lights. Woohoo Thanks, Ryan.
