I am trying to get rid of all of my RX7 stuff and switch focus to my RX8. I am at work right now, so I do not have many pics, so I will post what I have. I will find the rest tonight.

I have a 1987 T2 that has been stripped and is basically just a rolling chassis with the begininings of a roll cage. The car has about 80K miles on it.

I have the tail lights, spolier, doors, hood, differential, transmission, driveshaft, half shafts, and all suspension components are good.

$750 OBO

I also have a 1991 that was converted to a T2 using a S4 engine. The guy who did it did a horrible job at installing the engine and it would start and run for a few seconds and die. I installed a microtech LTX8 in it, but the unit I have has a blown ignition circuit, so it cannot adjust the timing correctly. The car has been sitting for about a year now and I started it up every so offten to make sure that everything is still good. I recently have been pulling the turbo and manifolds off to inspect everything. I will put it all back together and see what it does this weekend. I do not remember how many miles are on the car, but the engine only has about 1000 on it.

Here are some old pics of it before I got it. It has some rust in various places now on the body and the engnie is stripped down to the block.

Attachment 18665

$2000 OBO

I also have a Peripheral Port 13B that I had running a while ago. It has been sitting in storage and I have always kept it clean and it still has great compression. With the right carb, that thing will fire right up. It was rebuilt about 2 years ago, all of the housings were in perfect shape, 2 mm 2 piece apex seals, solid corner seals, 3rd gen corner springs. Since the rebuild, it maybe has 20 miles on it.

$2000 OBO

I also have an assortment of about 6 differnent engines laying around. Housings, rotors, e-shafts, bolts, etc... I have 1 12A I think and 5 13Bs. If you need anything, contact me and I will see if I have it.

If anyone is interested in anything, I am motivated to get rid of it all, but no low ballers please. Also, if for some reason, you want everything that I have, you can take it all for $4000. I am located in Culpeper, VA (22701).

jefraney 01-16-2008 08:36 AM

GeneralWiggin - I will look in my shop tonight and see what I have and let you know. How many do you need (2 I assume, but you never know)?

sen2two - I am not really sure what the going rates are on these parts, but looking on Ebay, the trans looks like they go for about 300 plus shipping. Differential with half shafts go for 325 plus shipping. Driveshafts go for about 100 plus shipping. So that would be about 725 plus shipping. Freight would be between $250 and $350 depending on who you go with (not sure if you have a prefrence), but this is what I found out. You can PM me if you want to discuss price a bit more in detail. I think $850 including shipping would be a good price, but like I said, I do not know the going rate of these parts anymore, so I could be way off. Again, PM me if you wish to discuss this a bit more.

Mr. B - The only radiator I have is in my 91 (Koyo) with an efan, but I want to sell that as a whole car. If no one wants to take the whole car, then you will be the first to know when I part it out.

Aurosting - I bought the engine about 3 years ago hoping to put it in my 87 when I was making it a hill climb car. It was originally a drag engine built and raced in Puerto Rico that was run in a starlet. It had 4 runs on it and he had to sell it. It had 3mm apex seals and double side seals which I removed when I went to a higher compression rotor. I still have the 3mm rotors for it somewhere if whoever buys the engine wants them. I have no need for them. I took the engine apart and inspected it all and it all looks in great shape. It started and ran great and I wish that I had done something with it. I am including a distributor with it, but since it was put into storage, the cap is broken and both ignitors are too.

If anyon else has any more questions, please feel free to ask them. I appologize for not getting more pics up last night, I did not get hoem untill really late, so tonight, I will try again.

GeneralWiggin 01-16-2008 02:39 PM

Yeah, I just need two.

Aurosting 01-16-2008 07:21 PM

so the pp motor is apart ?

GeneralWiggin - The only 2 housings that I have that are perfect are for a NA. Now the only difference that I can tell are that the exhaust port inserts are different. The NA housings have a little wing in it. My T2 housings are a little beat up around the edges and I probably would not use them. I have one more place to check out to see if I have anymore around. I can also see how hard it would be to swap out the exhaust inserts, but from what I remember, it is a pain in the ass.

Aurosting - The p-port is assembled on a test stand right now hooked up to a transmission with a starter. I turn it over every so often to make sure that oil flows through it so that nothing seizes.

Here is a pic when I first got it.

The differences now is that it does not have the FB mounts, I changed it over to the FC mounts obviously since I was putting it in a FC. I have a T2 front cover on it right now becuase I was going to run another oil cooler, but I can put a NA front cover if you dont want to oil ports, or you can get/make block off plates. Also, it will not have a double pulley setup on it. That was sold a long time ago since I was going to run a gilmer setup on it. It will also not have the blue water pump assembly, it will just have a standard aluminum water pump.

As of right now, there is a sale pending for everything. But if anyone is still interested in something, let me know.

I will be porting whatever housings I get, so the exhaust inserts are no problem. Here's a bit of what rotaryresurrection.com has to say about S4 housings (so, after reading that I'm not sure I could easily use yours. Let me know what year your housings are if you haven't sold them yet):

They have the noise diffusers in the exhaust, so you can either cut them out or swap sleeves entirely. The port itself is identical. Plug timing is different from 89+, and these do not have the casting above the T plug for the knock sensors. Required 4 oil injectors for lube.

87-88 turbo:

same as above, except with smooth exhaust port. Also they have an additional coolant passage where the LIM bolts up, on FC's this feeds water to the stock turbo through the LIM which has a drilled passage. To use this housing on a nonturbo engine or an FD engine you have to block off this coolant passage, usually by tapping and plugging.

...

yes, you can mix and match housings of all kinds, this is the beauty of 13B engines after 86. You can purpose build an engine for many different requirements because of this. You can do complete rotating assy swaps, change irons for different intake port configurations, or improvise out of necessity.
