Got the prototype on my car. It fit nicely. Had to move unbolt the midpipe from the downpipe and move it out of the way. Bolted right up. Makes the car vibrate more, but I can't exactly complain with solid engine mounts, solid differential mounts, solid engine torque brace, and now tranny brace...

...next on Dragon's list of things to do...DIFF BRACES!

PICS!

Scrub 08-22-2003 03:02 PM

thats pretty sweet.

Sinful7 08-22-2003 05:22 PM

will that fit with a stock cat pipe?

vosko 08-22-2003 05:44 PM

probably not .... cat is so ******* big

jspecracer7 08-22-2003 06:35 PM

Hmmm...it should fit. I've got a 90mm exhaust starting from the downpipe...******* big...and the cat is wide, so it should fit fine.

-=RX-7 KID=- 08-22-2003 07:14 PM

Sent the money, and who cares about that cat rip it OFF !!!

Dragon 08-23-2003 12:35 AM

should fit no problem, the stock tranny well brace actually comes way down under the transmission. This brace actually sits much more flat so it sould actually fit better...

vosko 08-23-2003 01:29 AM

i meant width wise but hey you never know lol

I'll have a bunch so when ever your ready I'll have some..

It's a direct bolt up, you don't need to drill any new holes or anything..

FikseRxSeven 08-24-2003 09:55 AM

since you're in the fabricating mode https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png......... how hard would it be to make a one-peice tranny and diff. brace?

lol.. that would be what the power plant frame does. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png these make it so it doesn't brake the power plant frame by adding support. It also keeps the driveline centered and keeps the tranny from moving all over so you dont' miss shift breaing the 5th/Reverse sycro's and lockig coller.. They also help get rid of wheel hop to save the diff, axels and output shaft on the tranny.
