I want to do it the way steve and I did it for the NP retreat. We walked around and evaluated the car together. We did this for each car, took some notes, then when we had our winners, we approached them, asked their name and wrote it down on the sheet along with their car info and what category they won. It worked out good for us, how do my judges feel about using this format?

Discussion is good...

car number, pick 10 or so categories, assign a rating 1 being best to each car for each category, the car with less points wins.
or, how about they parade. you have the cars line up. drive to a specified spot, the judges inspect the car a la barrett jackson, the owner gives a few revs, hiting the limiter if he so desires. u guys discuss? itll be like a rotary fashion show. |
We'd spend half of the day trying to get everyone organized and the judges would never be able to leave that tiny area. It'd be nice to be able to judge and enjoy the show.

i think the best way to evaluate cars is individually, then compare notes afterwards.... that way the process will be more thorough and the judges can do it on their own time.
|
although.... paco's fashion show would be pretty interesting... you can give people some big score cards too...
|
i think we tried score cards before...it didnt pan out as planned.
|
i meant score cards like in a diving competition or gymnastics or figureskating or something
