Are you coming out for some East coast rotarianism Scott?

turbovr6 04-12-2004 03:02 PM

he's trying to get a good deal on airfare. it's quite high , WA to NJ

UniqueTII 04-12-2004 03:50 PM

I'll pitch in!

Fd3BOOST 04-12-2004 03:53 PM

I got $5. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

phinsup 04-12-2004 04:01 PM

Yea we plan on it, just trying to get my finances straitened out.

93 R1 04-14-2004 12:36 PM

I'll donate also. If its any cheaper to fly into Baltimore I'll pick you up at the airport if you'd like.

Travisty 04-14-2004 12:39 PM

figure out who is coming from the closest to WA, then fly there and bum a ride

Jet BLue from Seattle to JFK round trip is only $236.

someone could definitely pick you up from JFK and cart you over here.

how far are you from Seattle?

phinsup 04-14-2004 12:44 PM

I would leave from Seattle, although that jetblue fare appears to be one way unless I am missing something?

phinsup 04-14-2004 01:33 PM

sond of bitches!

UniqueTII 04-14-2004 04:36 PM

Make sure you check ticket prices late Wednesday night through Thursday night...that's when they're the cheapest.

Fd3BOOST 04-14-2004 05:09 PM

You get here and your first drink is on me.

phinsup 04-14-2004 05:13 PM

My guess is we would be flying in Friday night late and leaving Sunday, Amy and I both work obligations, but we'll see what we can swing, I've got so many miles right now that I might be able to swing some free tickets.

Second drink is on me. We'll have to find a nearby Hooters for a pre-meet! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

turbovr6 04-14-2004 05:40 PM

Don't worry about that, since so many people are coming up early. I'll have the saturday festivities all planned out!

Rob x-7 04-14-2004 05:45 PM

sometimes the airfare changes depending on which day of the

week you leave, and obviously the time of the day

Fd3BOOST 04-22-2004 07:49 PM

So whats the plan for Saturday then?

Rob x-7 04-24-2004 04:58 PM

I made my offer to scott, the rest is up to him, I know he is planning

a move, so not sure whats going on.

Depending when he comes we can a full range of plans

phinsup 05-03-2004 03:55 AM

OK guys, so Newark would be the arrival airport, got some money issues to work out, not sure if we'd be there for much more then the weekend (starting new job), but we're looking at $400 for the first ticket and we've got a $50.00 buddy pass, so basically both tickets for $225 each which ain't bad. Talking it over with Amy now, but still planning on making it happen https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

We are looking at Saturday to Monday, gonna work late monday night to even it up if possible.

phinsup 05-03-2004 04:05 AM

We listed the condo on Friday and there is already someone claiming they are going to make an offer Monday so we shall see, if that happens we'll have plenty of money https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

treceb 05-03-2004 10:14 AM

i cant fit more than 3 ppl, without baggages. but i can be there for a "welcome mr and mrs nopistons.com to rotorfest" welcoming...

Rob x-7 05-03-2004 10:26 AM

getting to and from the airport is the least of your problems

I guess if your going into Newark your staying in NJ?

or is it the cheapest route?

Well I have the buddy passes on Alaska Airlines and Newark is the only place they fly to.

Is that too far out of the way?

As a longtime former resident of North Jersey, I'll answer this. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Newark makes sense as your arrival point. It's probably the closest major airport.

treceb 05-03-2004 02:32 PM

closest to what??

Why, the event, of course--Rotorfest! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

turbovr6 05-03-2004 02:41 PM

Newark airport is 10 miles from my house, and 20 miles from the hotel that all the MD guys are staying at. I'd invite you and the wife to crash at my place, but I have no extra beds. just one couch, and one loveseat. I do have 4 tents and 6 sleeping bags though LOL.

If you stay at the same hotel, maybe one of them have room for you and the wife so you don't need a rental car. Or you can make vosko come and get you! LOL. If you need a ride from the airport, just let me know and I'll be there!!!!

Rob x-7 05-03-2004 02:50 PM

I offered a room with a queen size bed even has air conditioning, lol

figuring it will help if they didnt have to bother with a hotel

and rental car

if they want to stay at a hotel near there then a NJ guy should pick

them up, otherwise newark is a little over a hour away for me, no biggie

If he comes on saturday we can all get together

sat night, then rf sunday.

plenty of options

turbovr6 05-03-2004 03:07 PM

well, I'm thinking of having a bbq saturday at my place for all the hotel bound people. Only thing is I don't want anyone getting hammered and trying to drive. SO I'm not sure yet. Cops in my town love sports cars and harrasing them.

Rob x-7 05-03-2004 03:11 PM

im too out of the way to have a bbq here

but I am dying to throw alot of food on the new BBQ!

SIMPLE! Does anyone have a van? or maybe we could rent one, just do a shuttle for the guys that want to tie one on, I've done it at parties at my house a couple times, we even chartered a bus for a deal out of Arizona one time, cost us $1,500 to get froom az to vegas and back and we had the bus and driver the whole time were there LOL

you wouldn't need a bus, but you could get a big van for like $40 a day.

Rob x-7 05-03-2004 03:27 PM
