Hey all, just wondering if anyone else out there owns a R100 or am I the only one on here?? If you do, what mods have you done?? Our car club at the moment has six members with R100's so it's a fairly awesome sight when we all get together. Be great to hear from anyone.

Hey Treceb, sweet image there man. Looks like it's no sleeper either. Yeah mike I know the feeling, mines recently come off the road again[that damn piston god is really pissing me off this year!!!] It ran the mighty 10a, I've got two other ones I'm thinking of having a go at overhauling - I've never tried a 10a. I'll see how that goes, but I've got a bridgeported 12a I've recently built so that's probably easier. Yellow's a good colour, that's the same combo I've got!

I've had 3 of those liddle suckers! 1 st one with a 12A bridge,(second car I ever owned) then sold that a year or so later to buy one from a wrecker for $180: schmicko 'one lady owner' stocker right down to the hubcaps! Kept that for a year or so, wanted to go faster but not mess up a tidy original car so sold it & got a less tidy one, stuck a 13B PP Weber & 5 speed in it & spent the next 18 months scaring the crap out of myself & anyone who raced me! Eventuall got tired of 8-10 mpg, sold it & moved on to bigger rotary Mazdas

mine came with a 73 12a placed in the engine compartment so no 10a for me, would have been cool though.

Hey Robbomaz, I can relate to that mate. This is my second R100, the first had a13B bridge port in it also with a five speed. I found it to be a great 'converting' car. As you know, in Australia, a lot of people are not rotary fans, so it was a great little car to take the critics in. I had racing harnesses in it and of course the usual **** "why would I need them, it's only a rotary!!" But after a drive, in 90% of cases, it was"you are totally insane and/or I think I'll have to get one of these rotary things!"

A pity mike, the 10a has such a unique sound to it. When I got my second R100 it had a 10a fitted and after driving the 13b it was like two different worlds. Certainly a bit easier to handle with the 10a powerplant though!

It was a 'lead tipped arrow'

Flew fast & straight but say your prayers if you ever needed to turn....narrow little tippy-toed things they are!
