Nice! Are you thinking about going direct fire some day?

Have you seen the white 510 on my website? It's getting a 13B in a few months.

By the way, where did you put the oil cooler? did you have to cut into the tranny tunnel and fire wall? Which tranny did you use and where does the shifter stick up at?

Fd3BOOST 05-05-2004 10:55 PM

Excellent pictures, Thanks. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png

I dont know what you mean by direct fire. But yea Ive seen that 510 on your website, very clean! On the picture with the engine bay, look at the bottom right (of the pic) and you'll see a SS oil cooler line, thats where the cooler is. Its not in the best place right now, I have nowhere else to fit it. I might have to get a slightly smaller one and put it below the radiator because hopefully its getting a turbo soon. The tranny tunnel had to be cut to fit the TII tranny Im using now. The shifter sits further down than the original, I actually like it because its closer. Hope this helps! Oh and I dont have an exact number, but Im pretty sure it cost around 5-6k for the swap with the engine mounts done before I even had the car.

ic, i wanna start a 510 project similar to yours pretty soon. but with a price around 5-6K looks like it will also have to wait for later times.

I like that. Very nice. how do you open your doors? sorry for the noob question. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

rotary510 05-21-2004 10:29 PM

I open the doors with a button that activates a solenoid and pop, it opens.

dyno sheet?

rotary510 06-17-2004 12:23 PM

No sheets, but maybe 140-150 rwhp?

dvls-7 06-17-2004 04:10 PM

Very clean setup. How long did this project take?

rotary510 06-17-2004 11:06 PM

It took about 2-3 years, I never really kept track

nvr2muchboost 06-29-2004 01:25 PM

Hey '510,

I commend you... Good job. Way clean! That's how clean I hope to get my Dime.

I have a '69 with the 13B Turbo set-up: huge street-port, stock turbo, 720cc secondary injectors and a host of other goodies.

It's down right now 'cause I'm in the middle of upgrading fuel pumps (my old Saab pump burned out, finally, and gotta Walbro 255 on the way) but when it arrives, it's back on the road, bay-bay!!!

Maybe I'll run into you some time since I'm in L.A. I hit Sunland sometimes going to the salvage yards...

Good to see somebody else thinking outside the box (sometimes purists can be scary https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R ).

By the way, DEFINITELY go with the turbo - good stuff https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png.
