i only know one person. my mechanic judge ito you can pm him if you want

turbovr6 11-05-2002 09:12 PM

well here is what you need to make it fit. The ideal would be to get a 13b from an 85' gsl-se it will just drop right in, just have to fab. some mounts..

for any other 13b you will need a 12a front housing, a gsl-se oil pan, and make custom mounts.

The 12a has the motormounts attached to the front housing, so using the 12a front housing and mount setup it will line up correctly with the stock mont locations on the chassis.

The GSL-SE oil pan will clear the chassis crossmember perfectly.

Thats about all I can tell you except that a stock 13b with no turbo in that truck is slow as balls. I took a ride in one yesterday and it was crap, my b2200 with a weber carb, header and no cats would whip the **** out of it.

If you want to put a rotary in a pick up you have to turbo charge it to get any real performance out of the truck.

I miss anything ITO?

The pics above show the donor car it is a turbo. Do you know anyone else thats done this swap and has pics? Im swapping everything to include the 4.10 ratio rear into the b2000. The biggest prob im running into is motor mount dilemma.

If you want to use a 4 port Mech OMP, you will need to use the GSL-SE's front cover along with the oil pan as described. The mounting of the motor will be the same as the 12A front cover, but the 12A front cover has the mounting holes for the OMP in the wrong location - it was for the 2 port OMP.

Why ruin what looks to be a perfectly good TurboII to dump in a truck? Why not just buy a wrecked TurboII from a wrecker. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif Some people I tell you. :squint:

WHIZ 11-07-2002 04:44 AM

I bought the car not running, and it looks better in the pics then it actually is. Not to mention Im a mini trucker at heart, and have been dieing to do this swap for years now. I really would like to catch unsuspecting ricers at the lights. Who would ever think to worry about a harmless lil customized mini truck? nuff said.

YucA 11-07-2002 09:39 AM

wut r u gonna do with the T II???? if ur just gonna dump it, ill go pick it up...=)

WHIZ 11-07-2002 01:50 PM

HeHe depends on what parts you want, because im robbing the rear end, tranny, engine, spindles, seats, ecu, dash, hood, wheels & tires, and im cutting the power sunroof out of the car. And beside that there really isnt going to be much left of it nose and drivers fender have road rash, rear bumper is cracked in several spots. Unless someone can tell me a very good reason not to use this car as the donor, the car wont be much more then scrap metal when done.

vosko 11-07-2002 01:52 PM

what is wrong with the TII now..... TII's are hard to find maybe you noticed.... i would use a worse looking car and drive the TII LOL

WHIZ 11-10-2002 11:52 AM

Does anyone know how to tell what equipment came on my car? IE: How rare it is? Tell me where to look or what info you would need to determine these things.

vosko 11-10-2002 07:25 PM

does it have manual rack, sunroof ? those are the two things that if you have are VERY rare. 99% of TII's have PS,AC,Sunroof...

Another option is to use a motor out of a MX-6 GT. Bolts up to the tranny. The only mods are the firewall for the dizzy and the motor mounts. A friend of mine did that a few years ago and occasionally I still see the B2000 around still.

Racer X 12-03-2002 09:59 PM

You mean 626 turbo don't you?The MX-6 is a FWD car that has a powerful 6 cylinder in it.Those 626 turbo engines rip it up tho :bigthumg:

spiceisler 12-04-2002 07:26 AM

I do mean the MX-6/Probe GT '89-'90. Not the V-6 ones which came later. Although its FWD the motor can be run in a north-south configuration ( you know that). The B2000/2200 motor looks exactly the same except the turbo. The TB wold have to be modded also. You would have to mount it on the other end of the intake manifold and cover-up the original location.

Racer X 12-05-2002 12:06 AM

True. They came stock at 7.5psi and and keep up to the later 2.5L V6 model which was 15.7 stock. That outta make a truck move. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

spiceisler 12-05-2002 07:29 AM

****! I didn't look at you car properly. I thought it was a '93!

Judge Ito 12-05-2002 07:41 AM

13B turbo II set up on a Mazda B2000 pick up is a huge job. I would not recommend it, but if you take on the job the results are worth while.

ive thought about that and my buddy did his pick up truck like that. people were so amazed with that

I wanna Turbocharge my B2600i.. That engine has ok Power.. But with a turbo and better gears in the tranny, I think it could be pretty quick..

I knew some guy out here in LA with a Polished up 13b in his lowrider mazda.. It was nice.. He would hope the front of the truck a few times at stand still, then pop the clutch as the truck was going up and do a wheelie for about 50 feet.. it was a quick lil truck..

mike

75 Repu 12-05-2002 02:51 PM

The 1986-89 B2600(carbed) came with a mitsubishi motor.. The 1990 B2600i (efi) engine is a Mazda engine.. the intake and exhausts are also the opposite..

How much hp does a Starion have anywayz...?
