I'm thinking about something like a 13B -RSW for a canard airplane.

Requirements are longevity, power, quietness.

I am of the current opinion that a rotary would be ideal for an aircraft as it runs a long time at high power setting and does not change speed frequently like a car. Is this good assumption?

I am open to suggestions. Since I am visiting in ST Pete 'till the end of Jan, is there anyone I could visit near here to see equipment and discuss possibilities?
For me seeing equipment is better than just talking.

I'm still getting info. The problem I seem to have seen is the sealing in the combustion chambers, top and sides and their longevity. What points have you seen?

Not sure if there are still any aircraft builders on this forum, but in case there are will input an updated reply; since I'm building an RV-9A with an 86 13B that flew for 110 hrs. in a Glastar. I bought the engine off the builder in 2006, and it's been sitting on my a/c since 2007. I've now retired and am tearing the engine down and replacing all seals and o-rings and will measure (and record) all internal clearances for future reference, and to know I've got a tight engine to fly behind!
