did you remember to install all the gronds that came off the trans/motor when you dropped the gear box. ie the one on the bell housing and the one on the starter threw bolt.

yah both grounds are hooked up, when dropping the tranny i had to cut some of the sensor wires planning to match the wires back up while installing the tranny but not all wires match so now i have no clue on the digram

fc3sboy1 12-30-2010 11:30 PM

cut wires? why on earth would you do that. and all cut wires will match back up where they where cut. what wires and where did you cut them

MarcFortin 12-31-2010 12:04 PM

the sensor wouldnt come out and about 6 inchs from the sensor

fc3sboy1 12-31-2010 12:16 PM

what sensor, there is plugs on all wires. the only thing that needs to be unpluged to remove the trans is the revers switch, neutral switch, starter and the ground to firewall.

i took off both grounds and the first sensor type plug that has a cable in it, then there was 2 more sensors one on the top near the gear box and the other near the fill plug those are the 2 i cut but now i cant figure out the way they go back together i thought they would be color matched but i guess not

Always check and label wires before cutting, or find the connector. Some sensors don't have the connector directly on the sensor, but up in the tranny well. Best of luck
