Hey guys, Phinsup added this subforum today per a suggestion I'd had for him. A customer of mine's engine blew up today and I was talking with GMON about it for a good while trying to ascertain the cause. I was looking for a place to post this here but couldn't find anything that'd quite fit. Plus, after some thought, it struck me that it may be handy for the community to have a subforum made specifically for engine failures (and the tracking of their causes therein) with the intent of learning from them to avoid those said failures later in the future. I'll be making a post about my customer's engine here shortly and invite any comments or suggestions that may've contributed to the cause.

Thanks again to Phinsup for adding it!

I hope it helps in the long run as far as helping us collect data on what parts to avoid, what parts to use, what things cause or prevent engine failures, that kind of thing.
