I cant think of or see any reason for this in the rotor housing. At least in my application.

adding extra dowels and/or tension bolts to strengthen the motor and resist flex.

Have you actually looked to see what you would be pinning to if you did that?...

I would have to desagree with you on it , the dowel pinning takes place on the spark plug side between the two stock dowel pins .

check this out so you can have an idea what I am trying to explain

pinning isnt always done in the same spots.



in the picture he posted, that might of been a test housing for a failed attempt. Or an unfinished project.

Every housing I have has that. I think they all do.



Its only on one side of the housing. Unlike the stud holes that are cast all the way through.

everyone that I've know to do pinning always done it on the spark plug side do to the fact thats were most of the twisting and pressure point is at , do some research .

I will check my 3rd gen housing tomorrow when I go by the builder shop , I'll take pics and post them .

they do not go all the way through..

out of all the 13bs ive seen.. they all have em..

perhaps to save some more ounces out of the motor or distribute the weight.. dunno
