is anyone using secondary injectors bigger than 1600-1680?
and what are the reasons for not using huge injectors? |
woudn't injectors bigger than that be used on top fuel cars. Is probably a fire hose if you have the pump for it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
Just wanted to say that |
like turborotor said. Hell you might as well just put a ball valve in there thats hooked up to your gas pedal https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
|
yea man you could try running a steel braided garden hose to feed those things https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
just my 2 cents |

i'm asking about the bigger injectors because i want to have enough fuel for 600whp with a T88 in the future. i have a PFC, and i wanted to know what are the limits for the secondaries. i know that the biggest you can run for the primaries is 1000cc.
my other reason to ask is because i don't want to use a rebic with extra injectors. so far the highest i saw with the PFC is 2x1000cc and 2x1600cc and thats 5300cc. i think i might need more fuel for about 600whp. |
i dont think you'll need more fuel for 600hp, with that injector size
|
1000 x 2 and 1680 x 2 will get you about 630bhp worth of fuel at 80% duty cycle.
On a side note, where do you plan on using 600rwhp? |
i plan on turning my 7 into a drag car, i'm currently studying in the US but i'm taking my car back home to Qatar. we have a bunch of 700-900 hp supras and skylines that i want to keep up with.

I think 1600 - 1680 injectors are the biggest commercially available. Methanol guys use 8 - 12 or more of these, if there were bigger ones available I'm sure they would use them. Keep in mind for most cars that 550 cc injectors are HUGE https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

the crazy pfc guys like dragon are running 850 x 1600 x 720. the pfc can run 6 injectors just fine.

mike i forgot the throw that "this is close to math, answers may vary" mike |
850's and 1600's will do 600rwhp. Just bump up the fuel pressure
|
We’ve found that running the 850 secondary injectors in the primary ports doesn't work to good because they sit up to high in the modified primary fuel rail. This causes the spray pattern to get fucked up and the car will idle rich no matter what you do because of poor fuel atomization..
So, I'm running the stock 550's in the primaries to 50%, at that time it does the change over to start firing the 1680's in the secondarys, the same 2 wires are running parallel to run the other 2 720's in the primary runners for a total of 1680cc of fuel to the secondary ports and 1270cc of fuel to the primary ports for a nice balance of air and fuel.. My power fc thinks it has 2400cc injectors in the secondarys.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png (ps. I love the datalogit) I get really good gas mileage for the size of the port I'm running and only hit a max of 19 knock according to the commander after 15+ 1.3-1.5 kgcm runs. (Did I say I love my wide band and water injection) I'm also running 2 x walboro fuel pumps with two -6 fuel lines with earls inline filters running to each fuel rail and then in to a aeroquipe fpr and one -6 return line. At 1.5 kgcm boost with the T70 I'm hitting around 78-79% on the injectors at 54 psi base fuel pressure. Now I just need to get a new wastgate spring so we can take the boost up to 1.7 or so and see what happens.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png |

I saw 2,000cc (190 lb hr) injectors for sale somplace before fror around $80-100 or so...
|
next step, garden hose
mike |
lol.. just run in -6 hose and wire the fuel pump to the injector driver to turn it on and off... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
|
how about like a cis/mechanical setup?
mike |
CIS...damn you have been around a while https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
