I've said this a crap load of times, but if your serious about doing this kinda stuff, you need to read through and fully inderstand the factory service manual and the haynes manual (if your buying a second gen). And if you want a video walkthrough of the process buy the Bruce Turentine rebuild video.

How many times do you have to be told? If you would just listen and research almost all of your questions would be answered already https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

the manual tells you what tools are needed for the job, some people will find it annoying to type what is already printed. I also think this has been gone over already at least once on the forum. The haynes manual is pretty sucky you will likely want to pick up a Mazda FSM like mentioned above, they are much better than the haynes manuals. The video is also helpful, rebuilding a motor based on what some people on a forum tell you is probably not a good idea. If you're asking for just tips/tricks then thats a different story.

The Mazda FSM is available for download on the internet in numerous places, just try searching, it's a big download though, basically the pages scanned in as images and stored in a PDF file.
